So, let's dive in and explore the world of dental crowns in South Gate Ridge, FL.
Dental crowns are a common solution for various dental issues. They are essentially caps that cover a tooth or dental implant. They’re made from various materials, including ceramic, porcelain, and metal. They mimic the shape, color, and size of your natural teeth so they blend seamlessly with your smile.
The primary purpose of a dental crown is to restore a damaged tooth. However, they also serve other functions, such as:
Dental crowns are prosthetic devices dentists cement onto existing teeth or implants. They fully encase the visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.
Crowns are permanent solutions. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, which you can take out and clean daily, crowns stay in your mouth.
Dental crowns offer several benefits. First, they restore the functionality of damaged teeth. This means you can chew and speak normally again.
Second, they improve the aesthetics of your smile, as they match the color of your natural teeth, giving you a natural-looking smile.
Finally, they can restore the strength of a damaged tooth. This means you can safely chew without fear of damaging the tooth further.
You'll find various types of dental crowns in South Gate Ridge, FL. The type of crown you choose will depend on your needs and budget. Ceramic, porcelain, and metal are the most common materials used, and each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Your Aspire Dental dentist will help you choose the best type of crown for your situation. They will consider factors like the tooth's location, the color of the surrounding teeth, and its function.
Ceramic crowns are made from a porcelain-based material. They are popular for their natural color, which matches the rest of your teeth. Their biggest disadvantage is they are not as strong as other types of crowns.
Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns are stronger than ceramic crowns. They feature a metal structure covered with a layer of porcelain, giving them a natural appearance with added durability. The downsides are a higher cost than ceramics and the possibility of a visible metal outline near the crown’s base.
Metal crowns, made from gold or other alloys, are the strongest and are highly resistant to wear and tear. This makes them excellent options for replacing molars. However, their metallic color makes them more noticeable than ceramic or porcelain crowns.
Stainless steel crowns are often used as a temporary measure. They are prefabricated crowns used to protect a tooth or filling while the dentist makes the permanent crown.
Getting a dental crown in South Gate Ridge, FL involves a series of steps. The process usually requires two visits to the dentist. Let’s review this process in more depth.
The first step in getting a dental crown is tooth preparation. This involves reshaping the tooth to make room for the crown.
Next, the dentist will take an impression of the tooth, which they will use to create your custom crown.
Finally, the dentist will place a temporary crown to protect the prepared tooth. You'll wear this until your permanent crown is ready.
Proper care is crucial after getting a dental crown. This will help extend the lifespan of your crown.
Regular brushing and flossing are essential. You also want to avoid hard foods that can damage the crown.
Regular checkups are also important. Your dentist can check the condition of your crown and perform professional cleanings.
The cost of dental crowns in South Gate Ridge, FL can vary widely depending on several factors. These include the type of crown, the dentist's expertise, and the dental clinic itself.
It's important to get a detailed quote before proceeding to understand the total cost and avoid surprises.
As we mentioned, the cost of a dental crown in South Gate Ridge, FL can vary greatly. The material of the crown is a big factor in the price.
The complexity of the procedure also affects the cost. For example, a crown for a molar often requires significantly more work and may cost more than one on a front tooth.
While being cost-conscious is important, remember that the cheapest option may not always be the best. Consider the longevity and appearance of the crown as well.

it had been over two years since my last dentist visit when i came into the office at the end of 2025. i knew i needed some significant work done, so naturally i was nervous, but the team at aspire dental quickly put me at ease. after my evaluation by dr. patel, the office manager, julie, developed a treatment plan that fully utilized my insurance to help save me some coin and swiftly get my dental health back on track. her and the other office assistant, crystal, are super sweet and understanding. everyone in the office is honestly great, and i felt well-taken care of and educated at each visit - two wisdom tooth extractions, a root canal, several fillings, and a crown. the dental assistants dote on you and ensure you’re comfortable, and amir & dr. patel have excellent bedside manner, as well. i cannot recall the endodontist’s name, but he was super knowledgeable and really helped to ensure my root canal was a perfect success. after getting my dental health in shape, i opted to straighten my smile and they did an excellent job with the pricing and imaging for some aligners, and my trays came out great. i can say that i look forward to each appointment! extra praise: julie has a bumpin playlist for the office and gangsta’s paradise coming on during procedure was incredible. dr. patel & amir also have a great sense of humor, they’re very down to earth and relatable, with a touch of silliness to keep the atmosphere light. the office is very clean and modern with a very homey restroom, complete with complementary water & keurig. julie also threw in some free opalescence whitening trays on my very first visit, and they were a wonderful touch right before the holiday season. tl;dr: highly recommend! such a lovely place, such a lovely face / plenty of room at aspire dental / any time of year / you can find it here ♪
I had to get a crown re-set, and Dr. Patel made it comfortable and relatively painless. I would definitely recommend.
Dr. Monzin and her staff are wonderful! They make you feel at ease and are so personable:) I had to have two teeth pulled, a crown replaced, and am in the process of getting an implant to replace one of the pulled teeth. Dr. Monzin and her assistant, Laura, kept checking to make sure I was as pain free as possible throughout the process. Maddie, at the front office, is super sweet and helpful. She responded to me right away after I left a message regarding having pain and swelling in my mouth. She got in touch with Dr. Monzin and called me back to let me know an Rx had been called in to my pharmacy. I am very pleased with the up to date technology at this office and their ability to handle procedures that usually require being referred to a specialist at another practice. I sincerely recommend Aspire Dental to anyone looking for an all around great dental practice.
I can’t thank Dr. Ana Monzin and her staff enough for squeezing me in for an emergency crown. She and her staff are very welcoming and even missed their lunch because of me. Dr. Ana is very professional and so is her assistant. Went back two weeks later for the permanent crown and it’s a perfect fit!!
This was the best experience I've ever had at a dental office. A permanent crown was created and placed in less than two hours and the work was perfection. The only pinch I felt was from the initial shot for numbing, after that it was actually a lot of fun! The staff is fantastic and Doctor Hoffman is an artist and perfectionist. I highly recommend this practice.
